Lawrence SternPartner
Larry Stern, one of the founding partners of Liebowitz, Stern & Paruolo LLP, has been practicing law in his home state of New Jersey for more than 30 years. Mr. Stern is an experienced trial lawyer who has handled a wide variety of cases ranging from personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, social security and discrimination suits to family law. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Mr. Stern is also a strong and experienced negotiator, having spent decades negotiating personal injury claims.
Mr. Stern, a graduate of the University of Hartford and the Western New England College School of Law, practices before the New Jersey trial and Appellate Courts as well as The Third Circuit District Court of the United States. Mr. Stern has also served as a mediator in the municipal courts of Essex County.
An avid runner, Mr. Stern and his wife have four children.

Frank Paruolo Partner
Frank Paruolo is an experienced trial lawyer. He concentrates on matrimonial, workers' compensation, bail bonds, litigation, criminal law, civil litigation and municipal court cases
Mr. Paruolo has lived and practiced law in New Jersey for 12 years. A graduate of St. John's University and Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Paruolo was admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1997. As a young lawyer, Mr. Paruolo served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Torack of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Mr. Paruolo and his wife live in Bergen County, where he can be found competing in local Strong Man and Power Lifting events.

Susan Stern Partner
A lover of the arts – music, dance, theater – Susan Stern was born and raised in New Jersey. Mrs. Stern concentrates on real estate, wills, family law, estate planning and commercial law cases.
Mrs. Stern graduated from the University of Vermont and was granted her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Mrs. Stern is admitted to practice before the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars as well as The Third Circuit District Court of the United States.
Mrs. Stern has raised four children. Over the years, she has served extensively on several committees in her home town and has maintained an ongoing relationship with the local schools and PTO. She is currently a vice-president of her synagogue's sisterhood.

Dwight de Stefan Of Counsel
Dwight de Stefan is highly experienced in complex litigation matters, including wrongful termination of employment, discrimination and equal opportunity cases, and all types of Chancery matters. He has extensive experience in municipal law. Mr. de Stefan has held elective office in River Vale, New Jersey serving as Mayor (for one term) and Councilman for the past 28 years. He also served for three years as Assistant Bergen County Counsel and has been Borough Attorney for Northvale since 1991.
Mr. de Stefan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Adelphi University and received his J.D. from Notre Dame in 1978.
A diehard baseball fan as well as an amateur historian, Mr. de Stefan is also the author of two books on the history of Italian settlement in Bergen County and the history of River Vale.
